Write. Perform. Educate.
S.P.E.A.K. California assists Transitional Aged Youth ages 18-24 in developing critical thinking, creative expression and essential life skills. By combining exposure to spoken word poetry along with social justice teachings, mental health practices and lifestyle learning, people of all ages benefit from all that S.P.E.A.K. has to offer.
By providing artistic, social and professional development opportunities for across three programs, S.P.E.A.K. aides in the difficult and often traumatic transition from youth to adult for students and community members.
By hosting events, workshops, and creating space and opportunity for youth to challenge and express themselves, S.P.E.A.K. creates a brave space for internal growth, relationship building and self-reflection for the people we serve.
